Therapy
As a trauma-informed therapist, I take a gentle, flexible approach that honours and respects your unique story and needs. I tailor our work together to suit what feels right and meaningful for you. The Intinnua notion of a new mind, a new spirit, and a new way of being, reflects my belief that healing isn’t just about easing pain or distress, it’s about reconnecting with who you are and exploring new ways of living. This is achieved primarily through Narrative Therapy combined with Expressive & Creative Arts Therapies. The tools found in these therapies help you step back from your challenges, see them from a new perspective, and reimagine your story in ways that feel more hopeful and empowering.
Narrative Therapy is based on the simple idea that you are not your problems. So, instead of seeing challenges like anxiety, grief, or trauma as part of who you are, it helps you to view them as experiences you’ve had, not experiences that define your identity or your future. I like to blend this concept with Expressive & Creative approaches like guided imagery, reflective writing and poetry therapy, role-play and creative exercises, helping to reach feelings and thoughts that you may find difficult to express in words. This helps to create a deeper connection between mind and body, offering a powerful way to reclaim your story and live it more fully, not just in your thoughts, but in how you feel, and grow.
